What Should We Bring?
Bear Lake Lodging will provide: Linen (sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, kitchen rags and towels) for the amount of people that the property sleeps in beds, this may be different than the maximum occupancy for the property. Each property has a full kitchen with basic cookware, dishes and utensils. We also provide small hand soap and toilet paper for the bathrooms, and paper towels, dish soap and dishwasher detergent for the kitchen. We provide pool towels on a first come, first serve basis.
Items you might want to bring: Bedding for people over the amount the property sleeps in beds. Body soap, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, beach towels, personal items, etc… and grocery items. Any specialty cookware pans or utensils. Some properties have a washer & dryer, you will need to bring your own laundry detergent. Adequate paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) are supplied to meet the cabin’s capacity, should additional supplies be needed they must be purchased by the renter.
Will My Cell Phone Work At The Properties?
AT&T works well at our properties along with T-Mobile and Sprint. Verizon does not currently work well and in most cases not at all.
Are There Any Grocery Stores In The Area?
Yes, the Lakeview Market located at the KOA is about a half mile south of Harbor Village Resort. It is not a very big grocery store but they do have most of the basics. Call Lakeview Market for off season hours.
Can I Bring My Pet With Me?
No, pets are not allowed in or around any portion of our properties. Per the contract that is signed at the time of the reservation, "Tenant agrees that this agreement and Tenant's right to occupy the premises may be immediately terminted by Manager... no monies will be refuned under any circumstance... and Manager is authorized to charge Tenant's credit card a mimimum of $500."
Can I Smoke Inside The Property?
No, Smoking is not allowed in or around any portion of the propeties. What If I Need To Cancel Or Change My Reservation?
If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before the first day of occupancy, you forfeit the entire non-refundable reservation deposit, which is 33% of your total reservation cost. If you cancel your reservation 30 days or fewer before the first day of occupancy, you will forfeit your total reservation cost.
We do offer travel insurance which will protect you in case of an emergency and your plans change. We strongly encourage you to purchase this travel insurance, it will protect you if you do need to cancel or change your reservation.
If you need to change the dates of your reservation you will need to contact our office to make arraignments. There will be a $50 processing/handling fee for all changes to the dates of your reservations. Changing properties will require you to cancel your current reservation and make a new reservation in the property that you want. This will result in a loss of all non refundable monies paid, and require a deposit for the new property.
What Time Is Check-In and Check-Out?

CHECK-IN IS AT 4:00 PM. If the property is ready before 4:00 PM we will be happy to check you in early.CHECK-OUT IS AT 10:00 AM. It is our mission to provide the cleanest properties possible. What If I Leave Something At The Property?
We will do our best to retrive them. There is a minimum $25 charge for shipping and handling to mail lost items. Please make sure you get everything when you leave. We are not responsibe for lost items.
Will We See Any Wildlife?
Most of the properties are located in the mountains, as a result you could possibly encounter wildlife (deer, elk, moose, squirrels, and bugs of various types, etc…). But most of all, when out on the lake, beware of the Bear Lake Monster.
Is There An Additional Cleaning Charge?
Most of our larger properties do have a miminal cleaning fee.
Do I Need 4 Wheel Drive To Get To The Property?
Some properties are located on gravel roads. In the summer all properties should be accessible by most vehicles, but we do caution guests against driving sports cars or other low sitting vehicles. During the winter months however most of the properties do require 4 wheel drive to get in and out of them.
What is Bear Lake Lodging's Damage Protection Plan?
The damage protection plan is required on all reservations made with Bear Lake Lodging. For a small non-refundable amount ($25) this plan will provide each reservation with coverage up to $3000 in incidental damage. This plan protects you as well as the owners of the vacation rental property. (Contact Bear Lake Lodging for full details)
What is CSA's Travel Insurance and should I purchase it?
The Travel Insurance is optional coverage that will protect your non-refundable payments in case you have to cancel your reservation. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance as protection from the unexpected (see the CSA tab in "About Us" for additional information.) Please keep in mind that Bear Lake Lodging has a no refund policy.
